Statistic data issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on February 3 indicated that in 2009, the total business volume of China Telecom stood at RMB2.56806t, up 14.4% year-on-year, with the business revenue of telecom of RMB870.73b, up 4.1% year-on-year. The comprehensive price of telecom saw a year-on-year decline of 9.0%.

The data also showed that in 2009, the revenue of electronic information manufacturing industry above designed size nationwide amounted to RMB5.1305t, with a year-on-year growth of only 0.1%, but around 10% compared with that of the national industries, thus the strength of the industrial growth is increasingly beefed up. This year, Chinese software industry completed the business revenue of RMB951.3b, up 25.6% year-on-year, with growth speed down 4.2 percentage points from the previous year.
